Who we are
Motor-adventure.eu is a trade name of the private limited company registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 83937641, located at Lansierlaan 13, 6006 RJ Weert, the Netherlands. We are responsible for processing your data. Questions? Email hello@motor-adventure.eu.
What data and why
When you sign up, we process your email address and anything you optionally fill in: where you want to ride, whether you are a rider or a tour operator, and which link brought you here. We use this to email you once you can start comparing and to send at most one newsletter a month. What you tell us about destinations and your role helps us shape what we offer.
In our emails we measure whether they are opened and whether links are clicked. This is done with a small, invisible image and with links via Brevo. We only use this to improve our emails, for example to see which topics interest you, and not to build a profile of you.
Legal basis: your consent, which you give by ticking the box and confirm via the email you receive afterwards. This consent also covers measuring opens and clicks.
Who processes your data for us
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France): sends our emails, stores the sign-ups and measures whether emails are opened and links are clicked.
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany): hosts this website. The web server technically processes your IP address to keep the site secure; our log files store it in shortened form.
- Simple Analytics B.V. (the Netherlands): counts visits without cookies and without personal data.
We have a data processing agreement with each of these parties. We don't sell your data and don't share it with anyone else.
Cookies
This site doesn't use cookies. Our emails do contain a tracking image (see above).
How long we keep your data
Until you unsubscribe. After that we delete your data, except proof that you unsubscribed. Data used to prevent abuse of the form is kept for at most 24 hours, and only as an irreversible hash of your IP address. Web server logs are kept for at most 14 days.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data, and withdraw your consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email or by emailing us. We respond within four weeks. If you disagree with us, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with a new date.
